Yeah… um, apparently Instagram and cameras on tripods with really long exposures aren’t interchangeable. Of course, no one would want to go through all that trouble to take a picture of Budweiser anyway… Your taste in beer says a lot.

So I just learned about Hipstamatic. For all I know, I’ve been posting some of those, and not Instagrams. Besides some specific effects, I can’t tell the difference between the programs in terms of their devaluation of photography. I will continue to call them all instagramming, which I have decided is a verb. If that offends you, I’m not sorry.
Apparently there does exist the rare photo which even Instagram cannot camouflage in a shroud of artsy graininess. No, for this documentation of the mundane, I must blame the advent of phone cameras in general.
I really thought the general rule with sushi was fresher is better. So why do we keep making it look aged like the finest of cheeses?
Taken in 1982, preserved on acid free-paper with UV protective glass, hung in a dark corner of a local bar and grill and… INSTAGRAMMED… Who said retro’s easy?
